ROSE GARDEN SECTION: PINK FRUIT Centifolia

Rosa centifolia

ORIGIN: NETHERLANDS, 1596 SIZE OF FLOWER
: 9 cm
BOUQUET: intense and sweet
BLOOM: SINGLE rather late
HEIGHT AND WIDTH: 1.50 m / 1.50 m
Rustico ': Z - 4

No one knows the source of the old "cabbage rose cabbage." The most plausible is that it began as a hybrid between a pink Gallic and a damask rose alla fine del XVI sec, sicuramente il Olanda.
Questa rosa si differenzia unicamente per il fogliame: the leaves are very large ripples and ridges. The part between the veins of the leaf looks like cloth and when they are young is often reddish brown. The most interesting mutations are the first pink mossy "Common Moss" and "mossy winged." All centifolia have aromatic glands on sepals, peduncles and glasses. All
Centifolia and their mutations are infertile and rarely produce seeds. yet produce a small amount of viable pollen with which they are reproduced at the beginning of the nineteenth century, some hybrids of cabbage. I will enjoy the Centifolia are those huge flowers in the shape of cabbage, with the superb fragrance behind an interesting piece of history dell'orticolura.

Here species of the cabbage family:

Criticism and Reviews.

REVIEW - CRITICAL
of Dr. Valeria Lombardi;

I firmly believe that the only thing missing to really Gianpiero De Salvo means are strictly financial, not either explicitly or by even less technical.
With those venal media could give us the apotheosis of his art by huge dragons and werewolves wolves not to take huge scare, but to highlight the ability to shape the material used, going even beyond the natural.
sure what then maybe not easy and the taste, the trend started by Gianpiero DeSalvo or those defined as "Fantasy." Hear a purely Anglo-Saxon-style and not ours. So much so that despite everything just stated above, it does so as a jolt to yield a strand of kitsch with those veins to paint and really do not deserve it!! What makes it sweet and not to discard this young artist and perhaps, used to create by hand in our times, with only the wise use of tools of a sculptor such as gouges, etc..
Unique works, forged from the doubly even physical fatigue bestowing such fine details, details. And by dint His works dwell on this for a moment it seemed to me to immerse myself in the 8 th day of the fifth story of the Decameron with Nastagio degli Onesti. I applaud you for your technical knowledge and hope to soon be able to be properly appreciated.

Critics of Dr. Romeo Aracri the "Silver Dragon".
Opera elegance from the plastic in which the forms defy the space-time with a lightness thoroughly investigated. Layering of colors in the material to reveal a particular technique of the use of pigments. Volumes masterfully conjugated empty take the heaviness of the cloud, air, ethereal mass of emotion, or perhaps simply the tale of the dragon in a closed setting, and that 'the externalization of his desire to travel in the ocean of dreams where the dragons also become trusted friends in whom to confide their anxieties or perhaps where to keep the secrets of the heart. animal art and Art Deco-functional and decorative art - The Snake and the Frog

The pottery carved, and decorated with bas-relief in the life and creativity of man since from its beginnings providing valuable support to men and decorative functional in daily life. The usefulness of the "pot" promotes the dominant aesthetic and functional for ever, all the earth the discoveries of ancient vases have testified that this archaic supellettile has provided a value for every possible use, the containers of the precious jars full of oil, from pottery to small jars containing herbs essences of fragrant spices to the inners of wine in earthenware pots, with beautiful vases containing galenic pharmacy to large containers for food. The pottery returned from the ancient Vesuvian town has always been a valuable source of information for both the quality and the quantity of specimens. In ancient Rome the Imperial dinner service consisted of containers used to solids (vasa eschar) and those to hold, pour and drink fluids (vasa potoria). The vases were made in various materials, from humble clay, glass and silver to precious bronze, testifying to the different livelli di benessere dei proprietari. Inizialmente gli animali maggiormente raffigurati nei dipinti erano cani da muta e selvaggina, ma subsequently made their appearance, oxen, birds, horses, reptiles, amphibians and many insects Deco such as the beautiful and colorful butterflies. The Art-Deco is derived from Art Nouveau which, however, renewing sinuosities and formulas linear nature, preferring the simplicity and geometric shapes and compositions. In colonial states like India, became the starting point of Modernism and continued to be used until the '60s. There was a renewed interest in the Art-Deco in the '80s, thanks to the graphic design of the recent period, where its association with film noir and the fashion of the '30s led to its use in advertising, styling, fashion and production di gioielleria.

animal art deco and the Natural - The rhinoceros beetle.

The nigriventris Onthophagus, a beetle that can end up with long horns as 40% of the body is represented on the vase you see in the image. Symbol of strength and energy, the horns are used primarily for fighting rivals during the mating period and to show manly in the eyes of the females. The bigger, the greater the chance of finding a male companion. The beetles of the species Onthophagus nigriventris have very large horns.

The sexual habits of beetles are rather curious, the female mates with several males and only those who have more sperm unable to fertilize.
L'efficacia dell'amuleto si basava soprattutto sulle reali habits of the beetle.
Legend has it that at that time there were only male beetles, which after producing their seed, wrapped around itself until it forms a ball, then bury it. The new offspring to life through this cycle.
The beetle was identified with the God who gives life, namely the Sun, because in making the journey to settle his suit, does exactly the same path of the sun "dies" West, only to reappear the next day to the East For this reason, the beetle is considered the amulet that "transforms". The soul of the deceased did not die with him but "changed", he became able, like the Sun Spirit, to renew every day ... At the

ancient Egyptian scarab was considered a very sacred animal, and was identified by the symbol of the sun god Ra in his rising: the hieroglyphic-shaped beetle in fact the meaning of "becoming", "renew", "resurrect." Although the beetle is often depicted with wings of a falcon, and not with its open elytra, as a reference to the animal's sacred sun god

Werewolf (Werewolf)

A werewolf is a metamorphic a human or humanoid can turn into something that is halfway between a wolf and a man. In
form "human", it is difficult to distinguish a werewolf, although there are always some special traits that identify it as such (more hairy than normal, a vaguely animal-somatic, eyelashes etc. together. etc...)
All the wolves in their animal forms or hybrid, have highly developed acute sensory abilities who have in everyday life in human form, especially after the metamorphosis, such as smell, hearing and sight ....
Some animals (like dogs, cats and horses) can not stand the closeness of werewolves and react with horror to their presence, in whatever form they are, and there are parts of the dried herbs are able to keep the wolves at a distance.
When I'm in animal or hybrid form, the werewolves can only be hurt by weapons magical or silver, or from the same magic.
Some argue that the werewolf is a curse ..... others, a gift.

E 'in a process of inflation in the world of contemporary art?

From ancient times until now, it was clearly evident a sharp rise of artists, art movements were inflated, exploded and split into more affluent and in various art forms.
The great and massive production of art is reversed everywhere, in museums and nelle gallerie, all’interno di enoteche e ristoranti, nelle fiere, nelle mostre personali e collettive, nei club e associazioni, nei circuiti televisivi, sui siti on-line, sulle riviste, nei negozi (persino sulle bancarelle dei mercati).
It seems that the old masters, with the great creative resources and techniques handed down to us, do not count anymore.
traditional elements of expression, line, color, depth, shape, lose their meaning.
The rejection of reason leads to the rejection of the form, whatever it is, figurative and non-figurative, and the creative act coincides with the act. The informal rejection of the image obtained through established rules and research of expressive immediacy and instinct, is linked to Impressionism as to be also called "Abstract Impressionism" at the refusal of cultural tradition. Always take more foot painting of action, and sign the mat, the conceptual. They are expressions of a particular mood of man in a world that has been ravaged by war and the future is uncertain. It seems that the man through the artist, not putting more faith in reason, would rely on instinct and chance, and that inevitably passed on through these new forms of art.
In the presence of the vast ocean of artists, there is no reliable criterion of choice too, as demonstrated by the fact that the figurative artist (painter and sculptor) is unjustly devalued, ousted by the man who has little or no technical skills, creative / artistic and communication, positioned as "emerging" per oscuri fini commerciali mossi dal mercato "burattinaio".
A market that is growing exponentially and dizzy.
This sub-market moves with organizational rules are simple but hidden, and with the help of technology used and freely available to the artists, are used all means of dissemination on the Internet exhibition.
The electronic artist is no longer a single actor who works through his genius and just as in the real world there are styles and schools of thought that influence the artistic production, in this virtual world, the artist draws inspiration and stimulus for its business from the work of other artists and members of "non" to his own artistic universe.
In relation to the obvious "indifference" Identified existing in our territory, our resources and ancient cultural left to their own, our historic sites and museums, the process described so far in place a complaint process officially marketed by the great inflation of the art market "part of" a 'that inflation could hit those who hold the delicate threads of business, economics, related to the disclosure of contemporary art.
The time of the urinals, the manure in boxes, gunny bags, holes, sagging of the materiality of cans of paint thrown on canvases, cuts ... is drawing to its end, just like coming to an end the myths and contemporary sacred cows, and advocates Supporters of the art "empty", empty and without merit.
In other words, there has been a huge explosion dynamics of the "DIY" is enlivened by all those who promote their production of art or being involved with creative work, they will in turn free market dynamics, but with roots that over time can become deep and worship, destabilizing over time, see "mercatarie" handled by big business, which are old, restrictive, outdated and worn for a slow but inevitable extinction radical.
It 's a matter of fact, that our markets are flooded with products of low alloy Eastern art sold at low cost. The Italian artist is obliged to come to terms with this reality, even if Italy, artistically it has nothing to envy to the rest of the world, because the quality of our product has a good artistic merit, the definition of Italy "cradle of art."
Art will return to its former status, with art workshops, creative workshops for research, gradually regaining possession of the genius of the valence "excellent craftsman" deservedly enjoyed in ancient times, the time of Caravaggio, Michelangelo , Leonardo Da Vinci ...

FUNCTIONAL ART AND SCULPTURE

In
The design objects are included in this view, more often than just about styling, not design itself, but the furnishings give a creative and unique functional intelligible. The art in everyday life also means thinking about why things are done as they are made, and think about how they might be transformed, upgraded and made better and how they might be of useful assistance to the newspaper man. Art must be able to communicate with people. Today it can be multi-modality through design, words, music, and miscellaneous contamination between languages. In the past, the art of communicating with different instruments basic, in some way today, the aesthetic becomes functional art "educational", which is not detached from the people, but the questions and makes them grow, and also through a playful approach. I believe that art should not necessarily be aimed only to be exhibited in galleries, as it can not even intended to be static in a sitting position. The functional art seems to come back as a "new element" figure in our present, the rest of the best artists of all time, were primarily skilled craftsmen and a deep knowledge of the matter. People who gets his hands dirty ... that to me is art, beyond any conceptual or futility taken to extremes.

SECTION: WATERMELON WATERMELON OR ORCHARD

ANGURIA O COCOMERO
Ccucurbitacee-Cucurbita

VARIETY ': remember the Crimson medioprecoce with sweet fruits of average size, the Sugar Baby F1 hybrid, early, 133 to the Charleston Gray fruit oblong, later, the Blue Belle Hybrid F1 round, very productive, the Iimperial Hybrid F1 round, early Florida Giant, Blue Ribbon, the Miyako Hybrid F1 Ashai early rotondo.Le with fruit varieties are cultivated: the watermelon in Pistoia and Faenza, the hybrid Baby Funn great and it resistant to diseases, Black Diamond, The Klondike Blue Ribbon to oblong fruit large, the average sugar baby, the good are forty and fifty of the time required to mature.
As the harvest begins in July you can use the space between plants and the other with a vegetable intercropping in the very rapid development, which will conclude its first round watermelons that are developed to the maximum. Seed, they will fall five or six seeds in each little hole, only to then leave the two plants that are more robust. You can also sow watermelon at different times, in pots filled with potting soil to transplant later in protected crops planted in rows in the open air or tunnel to a crop recovery.
FERTILIZATION & TREATMENT: 4 q/100mq you bury manure or mature compost. Before preparation of the seedbed, making a fertilizer phosphorus potassica.Le cultural practices include thinning with whom he left two seedlings for every little hole, topping or cutting of the primary branch after the fourth leaf, to stimulate the growth of other branches that will also be sheared, and hoeing scerbature to aerate the soil and keep it cleaned of weeds, a couple of interventions in water demand on the weather, not made, however, maturation and harvesting fruits become Suckering to eliminate unnecessary secondary buds. The fruits are isolated from the soil with plastic (or wooden slats in the case of a few plants) to protect from moisture and parassiti.Durante the growing season keeps the soil with weeding and hoeing: watering si rallentano e, se possibile, si sospendono man mano si avvicina la completa maturazione.
ESIGENZE NUTRITIVE: abbondanti letamazioni anticipate, o terricciato, misto a pollina, in presemina, unitamente a concimi ternari a elevato titolo di potassio e fosforo; nitrato potassico in copertura.

L'anguria è un alimento voluminoso, che soddisfa il senso satiety for long enough and this prerogative is recommended in slimming diets, replacing some deliquescent pasto.La its flesh, crisp, very refreshing, it lends itself to the preparation of sugar-free shakes, very useful for the diuretic, laxative disintossicanti.Con and watermelon can make a regular treatment, similar to the well known "grape cure" The flesh must be perfectly ripe, that is uniformly red, white parts, especially near the skin, should be discarded.

cherry Prunus avium - Rosaceae

DESCRIPTION: plant of Asian origin, popular in Europe since ancient times , The Cherry you can essentially split into two species different: the sweet cherry fruit and Cherry a fruit acid. The sweet cherry in turn is divided into two categories: duracine and Tenerina. The duracine, also known as callosities, are plants of considerable technological development that could even reach 20 m in height, while Tenerina plants are smaller and slower growth. They both have large oval leaves, flowers are generally white. In duracine, the fruits are hard and crisp flesh that can be, depending on the variety, white, red or blackish. The Tenerina rather have the soft, juicy flesh is usually red or black. The sour cherry is also distinguished by other characters in three different categories: black cherries, wild cherries and morello. The cherry trees are not well developed with drooping branches and small leaves, the fruit is deep red with pulp and juice are clear. The cherries are used for the production of juices and syrups. The cherries have straight branches with large leaves, the fruits are bright red as the pulp and juice have a sweet taste so they are also used for fresh consumption and for production of jams. Finally, the morello plants that are small in size as well as leaves and fruits, which are used by industry for the production of liqueurs.
& PLUGS Stock: The rootstocks most used is the ex-nursery, which has a lot of development and the plant goes into production after 6-8 years. The French prefer loose soil, very deep and draining.
FERTILIZATION: As with many other plants, including the Cherry is recommended to use organic fertilizers such as manure or manure. To have abundant production of cherries can fertilize with large doses of nitrogen (excluding droughts) and slightly lower doses of phosphorus and potassium.
DISEASES: addition to the possible presence of mealybugs and aphids , cases have been reported to "fly cherries", which lays its eggs in the fruit, the larvae of the juicy pulp once ciberanno hatched eggs. Other fungal pathogens are the spots that produces Corineus on necrotic leaf tissues leaving them pitted, the rust striking the underside of the leaf blushing and quickly led to the fall and then the scab which can damage leaves flowers and fruits.

CHERRY PESTS AND DISEASES: MALBIANCO OR POWDERY MILDEW

THE MALBIANCO (powdery mildew)

Like all cryptogamic diseases also commonly called fungus, powdery mildew (more commonly known as powdery mildew, fog or manna) develops especially in the presence of wet weather, on average, and hot in the event of poor ventilation .
It is a widespread disease in the northern areas, which manifests itself una infiorescenza del micelio (fungo), riscontrabile come pulviscolo biancastro con parziale decolorazione della foglia.
A good preventive remedy may be to place the plant in a well ventilated area affected or likely to practice pruning clearly light and ventilate every aprte crown. If this is not possible in the first place you should avoid watering in the evening hours during periods with average temperatures. It usually occurs later repeated use of fungicides such as sulfur products, dinocap, benzimidazole derivatives, pyrimidine, triazole, in the case of use of fungicides is recommended to practice 2-3 applications per year, further work with the same active ingredient may cause phenomena of resistance to prodotto. In organic sulfur can be used as a preventative, or using an antagonist of mildew, Ampelomyces quisqualis, which seems to give good results.

Can You Freeze Take-aways

SECTION FLOWERS: AZALEA-Ericaceae-

GENERAL ': the azalea is not a genre in itself but part of the genus Rhododendron. This type is divided into two groups: rhododendrons, evergreen or deciduous large shrubs and azaleas, dwarf evergreen shrubs, green leaves, or small, deciduous. Until a few years ago it was believed, wrongly, that they were two distinct species, but in fact that rhododendrons and azaleas are part of a single genus, that of the Rhododendron appunto, che a sua volta fa parte della famiglia delle ericacee.
LAND: The substrate is certainly the element that is of greater importance to cultivate success with these plants. The fact they need ericaceous soil tends acid with a pH optimum is around 5 / 5, 5. A too high pH inhibits the absorption of nutrients and is the most common cause of chlorosis , which is manifested by the yellowing of the leaves. These plants need a soil rich enough organic matter, well drained and no stagnant water, and should not be planted too deeply, since they have very shallow root system. They can be grown in pots, mindful of the increased demand for watering plants in pots than those placed in the ground.
EXPOSURE: n elle mild climates tend to put the azaleas are planted in a sunny place, in areas with hot summers and instead should put the azaleas in a shaded or partially shaded. The garden variety can stand the cold, even if very low temperatures.

SECTION DISEASES AND PESTS: aphids

APHIDS

Also called plant lice, these insects belong to the family rincoti, and there are about twenty species, often distinguished by the color, the small body, 1-3 mm long , is oval, with short legs, there are both winged forms, which can move for tens of miles, both ways without wings. They have a pungent-sucking mouthparts, which pierce through the surface of leaves, small branches and shoots, to suck the sap of plants. Usually they develop on most of the crops, from vegetables, ornamental plants, aphids are very common and the roses of aphids tabacco. Mentre succhiano la linfa questi insetti emettono un liquido zuccherino, detto melata, che cade su foglie e fusti, becoming a breeding ground for many fungi, especially those of dark-colored sooty mold fungi, which disfigure the appearance of plants, as well as causing functional impairment. The honeydew also attracts other insects such as bees and ants, aphids often with them living in a kind of symbiosis, in which the ants protect aphids, moving them to other plants, in exchange for using the honeydew, as if they "herd ". In addition to these damages often aphids inoculated plants, through saliva, viruses of various types, some of which can damage very gravi.Le aphid infestations are fought with specific or broad-spectrum insecticides, usually occurs when the infestation is already manifest active più utilizzati sono: Imidacloprid, Pirimicarb, Quinalphos, Fenitrothion, Malathion, Triclorfon, Diflubenzuron, Endosulfan.
